Recently I attended the Childcare Expo in Coventry to celebrate the first birthday of the Early Years Nutrition Partnership (EYNP) with our special guest Ben Faulks, better known as Mr Bloom from CBeebies.

Childcare Expo has been amazing as it has given us a great opportunity to engage with setting owners and practitioners and chat about what they need from us.
The nursery practitioners we have spoken to have said how much they like the fact that we offer a flexible model of support, so they can work out what fits their needs best rather than a rigid programme that may not quite work for them.

Childcare Expo Midlands was a brilliant experience. We obviously had lots of fun but we also had a really great time meeting with owners and practitioners from nurseries and pre-schools, and lots of childminders too.
The protein food group, which includes meat, fish, eggs, beans and nuts, is an important part of the diet for rapidly growing young children. Toddlers need 2 portions of protein-rich foods each day, or 3 portions if they are vegetarian.
Eggs are rich in protein and contain other nutrients - iron, Vitamin D, Vitamin A, B12, folate, iodine and omega 3s - making them a valuable contribution to the diet.
