July has been a time for summer celebrations at the EYN Partnership. We have been celebrating the success of our first year and the work of our registered nutritional professionals, and welcoming new settings and new team members. June was a month of firsts – from our first attendance at Childcare Expo, to our delight in announcing the first setting to be awarded the EYN Partnership Quality Mark. Our partners were also busy. Michael Freeston, Director of Quality Improvement at the Pre-school Learning Alliance, was speaking at a seminar at Childcare Expo in Manchester. And the British Nutrition Foundation released an informative online talk explaining the foundations of early years nutrition.

May marked one year on since the EYN Partnership was formed and a chance for our Nutrition Professionals to share some of their great successes, including an acknoweldgement from Ofsted! We also shared tips and recipes for National Vegetarian Week, encouraged activity for National Walking Month and blogged for Childcare Expo in advance of the exhibition.

March saw in Nutrition and Hydration Week. To spread the word about the importance of nutrition and hydration in the early years, the EYN Partnership published an A to Z guide on the topic and got out and about presenting at an early years conference in London. New blogs provided some tips on how to enjoy  Mother's Day and St Patrick's Day the healthy way. And our team of Nutrition Professionals provided great advice on how settings can improve children's nutrition, through more new blogs and videos.

In January we decided to throwback and share our write up of our year in 2016, as well as looking back on our launch event at the Houses of Parliament.
